October 11th 2003 I created this account not knowing the impact dA would have on my life. 8 years later? I'm still here and loving it more than ever!
I hope to spend another 80 years (assuming when I am 106 i can still use a computer) here and involved in the community.
Things have changed on dA and so have I or atleast i think so. I joined 8 years ago to get help with my photography and to see what the fuss wa about since Ikue wouldn't stop talking about it. I haven't mastered photography yet but i think i've gotten better at it. I also found a niche for myself in 2004 when i started chatting on dAmn.
I just wanted to say thanks to dA and the community for making this an awesome place!
I gotta run... i'm at work so more later.

What does your username mean? Well when creating my account I was trying to use Shutterbug or something photography related but that was taken already so I ended up choosing shuttermonkey which combines my love for photography and monkeys.

I'm sure I've told this story before on a number of occasions but oh well you get to read it again... assuming anyone still follows my page.
I joined dA on October 11th, 2003 almost 11 years ago. However i had been lurking for about a month or so before i joined stalking Ikue (https://www.deviantart.com/ikue)'s page. I had just started working as a photographer for a local hotel and thought that in joining I might be able to pick a few photographers brains on tips to improve my work. Well Ikue (https://www.deviantart.com/ikue) is the one that suggested I join and after some thought I started trying to come up with a username. I knew i was only going to be posting photos so I wanted something camera

Life is Good
Hey everyone!
So I've been really busy see my last post. Work has been crazy busy but in a good way and I am still losing it. I still peak into dA every so often but i haven't had much time to post anything but i miss you all and i miss volunteering and just being artistic in general.
This weekend i was able to get away to a small cay off of Abaco, Bahamas called Man-O-War Cay to visit my sister with Chris. I got to veg out on the beach and take some pictures to follow.
