Lure of Spirits: Chapter One █ Chapter One
The afternoon sun was at its highest point and the cloudless sky meant there was no shade to cool the summer heat today. Luet didn't mind the weather that much, though she was currently using a small paper fan to wave at her face for a cooling breeze. She was at her father's shop in the city market sitting on an old and worn wooden stool. Her father had gone off to grab them some lunch from one of the food vendors and she was keeping an eye on the goods while he was away. Even though her father's shop sold jewelry and other accessories, they were only the quality of what the average worker could afford nothing

Sometimes I wish I could still see him, his fuzzy face. His eyes were like giant pieces of chocolates, not that I really had any preference to color. Did they come in different colors?
I was living in Marcus, Washington. It's a small town East of Seattle and very hinky-dinky. Right now I'm in Arizona. The only reason I moved was because my old-fashioned father was having a

Scum Forth The whirring of the machines caused little dust particles to swim into the air. The looked happy from what she could tell. Softly playing hands folded laundry and placed sets of underwear, jeans, and dress shirts onto the big blue tables. Ding. Dong. The door to the laundry mat opened and someone coughed into their sleeve. Marcela was just a lovely, petite Mexican woman doing her laundry after a hard days work. The person who entered didn't care.
He didn't care whether or not Marcela Rodriguz had an family. Didn't care if she was a mother, someones daughter. Did not care if she had a life. Because she didn't now. To him, the nameless assaila
